STANFORD UNIVERSITY, Stanford, CA, a NCAA Division I-A member of the PAC-10 Conference is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach. This is a 12-month full time appointment with salary and benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to; the development and implementation of athletic performance enhancement programs for Men’s Basketball as well as additional sport responsibilities as assigned by the Strength & Conditioning Coordinator for Olympic Sports. The successful candidate will possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred) in exercise science, kinesiology or related field and at least 3 years experience in strength and conditioning, preferably at the Collegiate Division I-A or professional level. In addition, the successful candidate must also possess strong organizational and communication skills, and working knowledge of basic spreadsheet and word processing programs.

Canisius College, a Division I institution and member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference and Atlantic Hockey League has an immediate opening for Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. Responsibilities will include assisting the Head Strength Coach with approximately 300 student athletes and 16 varsity sports. The applicant will be responsible for program design and implementation with assigned teams, teaching proper strength training technique, maintenance of facility, and other duties as designated.
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in Exercise Science or related field. Prefer candidates with prior strength and conditioning experience at the collegiate level or prior experience as a varsity level athlete. Applicant should be SCCC or CSCS certified or in the process of being certified. Candidate must have a strong desire to pursue a career in collegiate strength and conditioning.
Compensation:
$7,000 + 6 class waivers per academic year.

Description
The University of Washington seeks an ASSISTANT SPORTS PERFORMANCE COACH. This position will design, develop and deliver comprehensive strength, speed, agility, and conditioning and supplement programs for assigned Intercollegiate Athletic teams. Establish annual testing and performance measures. Teach proper execution, techniques and safety for all lifts and movement drills. Effectively motivate athletes to achieve the maximum potential in all areas of performance. Communicate and work in partnership with athletic trainers to provide an integrated program of injury prevention, reconditioning and performance training. Work cooperatively with the department Nutritionist to develop and deliver a plan addressing performance nutrition issues for assigned teams. Assist with recruiting for each assigned team throughout the year. Implement and enforce all ICA rules, policies and procedures with regard to the Sports Performance department. Assist with other sport programs and the day to day operation of the performance training facility as required by the Head Coach for Sports Performance. Must be flexible to work irregular hours. Must effectively work, write, speak, present and communicate with staff, administrators and other coaches in the athletic department. Must maintain CSCS certification and pursue professional development opportunities throughout the year.
Compliance with the rules and regulations of the University, the NCAA, the Pacific-10 Conference, the State of Washington and any other governing body is of paramount importance to the University. The overall responsibility of this position is for the successful operation of the program in full compliance with all such rules and regulations. Requirements
Bachelor's degree required in Physical Education or related field. Masters degree preferred. Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (C.S.C.S.) certification through National Strength and Conditioning Association required. Experience with the instruction of all Olympic lifts required. United States Weightlifting Club Coach Certification preferred. Minimum of three years full time coaching experience in the Strength and Conditioning field at a four year college or University. Full time professional coaching experience acceptable.

Responsibilities: Individual will assist the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach in enhancing the physical and mental development of student-athletes through the use of established and specific training programs that improve the physical strength, speed, and cardiovascular condition of the student-athletes. Assist the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach in developing, coordinating and scheduling the strength and conditioning programs for student-athletes. Assist in the development of pre-season, in-season and off-season conditioning and weight training programs. Assist in developing and administering strength and endurance tests and evaluating the results for the purpose of establishing goal. Assist in the supervision and operation of the overall environment of the weight room, exercise area and teaching student-athletes proper weight training techniques. Ensures proper use and maintenance of equipment and enforces safety procedures.
Qualifications: Master's degree preferred in an appropriate area of specialization and one year of experience, or a Bachelor's degree in appropriate area of specialization and two years of experience in the athletic strength & conditioning training field at the high school level or above. Successful experience as a graduate assistant or intern in an athletic program is acceptable for up to one year of the required experience. National Strength Coaches Association (NSCA) certification/license or Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches association (CSCCa) certification is required.
