Achieving Excellence in Collegiate Strength and Conditioning

Presentation Summary:
Hosted by NCAA Leadership Development and the NCAA Sport Science Institute, this session will help collegiate strength and conditioning coaches achieve excellence within the profession. This session will discuss relevant issues for strength and conditioning coaches including current perceptions and personal branding; career advancement; effective communication within the athletic department; and transitioning to athletics administration.

Biography:
Justin Paysinger, joined the NCAA Leadership Development staff last September having spent the previous four years serving as the Director of Student-Athlete Affairs at Texas Tech University. In his new role as an Assistant Director of Leadership Development, Justin will be the primary administrator for the following programs: Future Football Coaches Academy, Student-Athlete Leadership Forum, NCAA-NFL Summit, and Life Skills. Additionally, Justin oversees some of the units internal and external collaborations and projects. While at Texas Tech, Justin created and managed programming for all Red Raider student-athletes in the following developmental areas: Personal, Professional, Community Service, Leadership, Diversity, and Wellness. Justin also served on various athletic department, campus, and Big 12 conference committees geared towards student-athlete development and well-being.
A native of Los Angeles, Justin was a four year letter winning football student-athlete at San Jose State University where he earned his Master?s Degree in Sport Management and his Bachelor?s Degree in Child and Adolescent Development.
