Finding Their Fire: Motivating Athletes For Maximum Performance
Both individual and team motivation is like a fire. You wouldn’t throw a match on a camp fire then walk away thinking all the logs would burn evenly and brightly. Rather you would add some kindling, newspaper, lighter fluid, maybe even a starter log too. You’d also probably take a lighter to a few different spots to even things out. Just like you can’t walk away from a fire and expect it to burn strong or for long, you can’t walk away from the athlete and expect their goals to accomplish themselves. Nobody has a “factory-installed” motivation button that they can just press when they need a little boost. We have to intentionally seek it out and train our attitude and our athletes attitude. It’s not a trait or a gene attitude is a muscle. So, like any other muscle in the body, if you don't attend to it, it will atrophy. This program will equip you with: • Perspective changing strategies to build resilience. • A one minute mental workout to prime the mind for what the body is about to do. • Game changing tactics to start and finish each training session on the right note. • Battle-tested tactics to gain and maintain athlete’s confidence. If you take this program and practice it throughout the year you and your team will consistently be on fire!
