Wearable Tech - More than measuring just player movement

Wearable technologies and "microsensors" such heart rate monitors, accelerometers and GPS are all used to measure the physiological and mechanical demands of sport. However, managing the data generated with these devices can be overwhelming in a team setting, and it can be difficult to identify the most valuable variables to monitor. This discussion is designed to help practitioners distill the most useful metrics from the data generated with these microsensors, and how to make decisions using this information.

Originally from Erie, Pennsylvania Christy Coniglio is a lecturer at Armstrong State University in Savannah, GA. Her primary interest includes long term athlete monitoring, evidence based training, and coaching education.
