Dr. Jack Wilmore

Dr. Wilmore, one of the leading exercise scientists in the country, received his B. A. and M. A. degrees in Physical Education from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and his Ph.D. degree from the University of Oregon. All degrees were in Physical Education. He has served on the faculty at Ithaca College, the University of California (both Berkeley and Davis campuses), the University of Arizona, and The University of Texas at Austin. He is presently a Professor in the Department of Health and Kinesiology at Texas A&M University, where he also serves as the Acting Director of the Institute for Sports Medicine and Human Performance. He is an exercise physiologist, and his primary research interest is focused on determining the role of physical activity in the prevention of chronic diseases.
