Marcus Hill
Coach Hill was promoted from Head Football Strength Coach to Director of Strength and Conditioning in 2006 at the University of Kentucky. He has been with the University of Kentucky athletic program since February of 1999. Prior to that, he was the Head Assistant Strength Coach at the University of Arizona. While at Arizona, Hill worked with football, baseball, women’s tennis, gymnastics, women’s volleyball, and the 1997 NCAA champion Men’s basketball team. His teams have reached six bowl games, including the 1994 Freedom Bowl, 1997 Insight.com Bowl, 1998 Holiday Bowl, and the 1999, 2006, and 2007 Music City Bowls. Marc has trained athletes from the high school ranks to the collegiate ranks to the NFL, and the LPGA.
Coach Hill’s experience in the field of strength and conditioning is vast and still growing. Hill is certified by both the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches association and by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. In addition, he holds a masters degree in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Arizona. He currently serves on the Gatorade Sports Science Institute, Educational Advisory Board.
Hill did his undergraduate work in Physical Education with a Minor in Athletic Training at Iowa Wesleyan College. Upon leaving IWC, Marc was a coach and teacher at a local High School for a year, until he obtained his position at Arizona. While at Iowa Wesleyan, Hill was a 4-year letterman at linebacker, and he played in the NAIA playoffs.
Coach Hill has worked with athletes of all ages and has an educational background that leaves him with the knowledge and ability to make any athlete bigger, faster, stronger, and more injury free.
A family man, Hill is married to the former Jenny Dalton. They have 3 children, Dalton (10), Brookelyn (8), and Cogan (6).
