Steve Martin
Steve Martin is originally from Blountsville, Alabama. He attended Locust Fork High School near Blountsville and walked on the University of Alabama football team and was on the team from 1983 to 1985. Steve played his last two years of football in 1986 and 87 at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. The following two years, he was a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach under Terry Jones at the University of Alabama and then took a football G. A. position at Auburn University in 1990 and 1991.
The following year, he went to Texas Christian University as a football G. A. and was hired as the University’s head strength and conditioning coach in 1993. Coach Martin served in this capacity until May of 1997. At that time, he returned to the University of Alabama as an assistant strength and conditioning coach to Terry Jones. Martin is married to the former Corinne (pronounced “Krin”) Sanders of Dallas. They have two daughters, Janie Beth and Anna Claire.
