Ball State University
Wade Russell is in his 15th season as the strength and conditioning coordinator at Ball State University.
A 1986 graduate of Taylor University, Russell was a two-time football All-American and a two-time Academic All-American at Taylor. After his college graduation, Russell was a member of the Miami Dolphins in 1986 and the Cincinnati Bengals in 1987.
He came to Ball State in 1988 and spent two seasons as a graduate assistant coach for the Cardinals' football team.
In 1990, Russell was named the school's first ever full-time strength and conditioning coordinator. He works primarily with football and men's basketball, while over-seeing the Cardinals' 22 intercollegiate athletic programs. In 1993, Coach Russell received his masters degree. For the 1995-1996 season, Coach Russell was named the Mid-American Conference Strength Coach of the Year.
Russell, and his wife, the former Julie Manor, are the parents of one daughter, Danielle.
