The Practicum Process:

  • Visit the CSCCa website to determine available practicum/internship/residency/graduate assistantship positions. To view all internship listings, click here. Contact the head strength & conditioning coach to apply for the position there. If no positions are posted on the website, contact eligible coaches using the list of CSCCa approved mentors click here, and discuss the possibility of completing your practicum/internship with them.
  • Once you have obtained an internship position at a CSCCa-approved practicum site, obtain an application from the CSCCa (Click here for the application form, or for a printable version click here).
  • Submit a completed application, along with the $300.00 practicum fee, to the CSCCa National Office at the address listed on the form.
  • Have your school send an official transcript to the CSCCa National Office to verify your credit/graduation status.
  • The certified head Strength & Conditioning coach or Master Strength and Conditioning Coach at your practicum site will receive a CSCCa Practicum/Internship Mentoring Packet to be used throughout your practicum process.
