The University of New Haven Department of Sports Performance is seeking qualified applicants for a Graduate Assistant position. Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: Design and implementation of sport specific strength and conditioning programs for assigned teams, demonstration, and instruction of Olympic weightlifting techniques, supervise team training, individual training, and open hours. Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of the new Peterson Performance Center and assist and implement daily operations of sports science initiatives related to data collection and analysis. Qualifications for this position are a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field (Required), preferred CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certification or working towards certification, preferred previous strength and conditioning experience in a collegiate setting; experience in designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs, preferred experience with sports science technologies such as VALD, Teambuilder, VBT, Fit-3D Body Scanner and Cardio Coach. Compensation for this position is Full Tuition and a $5000 stipend per year. The expected start date for this position is August 1, 2024.
