Wake Forest University Olympic Sports, Sports Performance Department is currently accepting applications for the Fall 2024 semester. There are 2 internship positions available to gain Division I experience and work with all Olympic Sports teams. There will also be opportunities to gain sports science experience through data collection using GPS, VBT, and HRV. These positions will have the opportunity to work towards completion of the CSCCa internship hour requirement.


Qualifications:
Completed or currently pursuing bachelor's or master's degree in Exercise Science or related field. Candidate must possess or be working towards certification through CSCCa, NSCA, and/or USAW. Must possess a strong work ethic and desire to become a strength and conditioning professional.


Responsibilities:
Interns will have the opportunity to assist the Sports Performance staff with the implementation and supervision of all training programs for Olympic Sports teams. Interns will also have professional development opportunities through the completion of internship curriculum assignments and discussions. This is a volunteer position (no monetary compensation), but individuals will have the opportunity to gain hands-on coaching experience as well as earn a future recommendation for employment.
