Gunnar Cederberg

Moderating: Olympic Sports Strength & Conditioning Roundtable-Volleyball

Gunnar Cederberg is entering his first year in the Stanford Olympic Sports Performance Department. His responsibilities include designing and implementing a year-round program for the Baseball, Men’s Water Polo and assists with applied sports science.

Originally from Portland, Oregon Gunnar graduated from Linfield College where he played football and baseball for the Wildcats and was a three-year letter-winner in both sports. After graduation undergrad, Gunnar went on to attend Central Washington University, where he earned his master’s degree. After completion of his master’s degree, He worked as the Director of Strength and Conditioning at three Portland Metro Area High Schools while coaching multiple sports (football, basketball, baseball and track and field) during that time. In 2016, he and his wife Katie moved to Birmingham due to her acceptance to Graduate School at UAB where obtained her Doctoral in Rehabilitation Sciences. During the 2016-2017 school year, Cederberg Interned with the Athletic Performance team working with multiple sports, primarily with baseball, football and bowling. After his time at UAB, he made the transition to his current position at Stanford.

Cederberg is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS). He also holds the Level 1 Sports Performance Coach certification through USA Weightlifting, is FMS certified through Functional Movement Systems, and is an EXOS performance specialist.
