Wearable Tech - More than measuring just player movement

Wearable technologies and "microsensors" such heart rate monitors, accelerometers and GPS are all used to measure the physiological and mechanical demands of sport. However, managing the data generated with these devices can be overwhelming in a team setting, and it can be difficult to identify the most valuable variables to monitor. This discussion is designed to help practitioners distill the most useful metrics from the data generated with these microsensors, and how to make decisions using this information.

Originally from St. Petersburg, Florida, Dr. Jeremy Gentles is an assistant professor at Armstrong State University in Savannah, GA .For the last 10 years Jeremy has worked as an academic, sport scientist and S&C coach with a variety of advanced and elite athletes in sports, including but not limited to, weightlifting, soccer, tennis, basketball, baseball, softball and volleyball, as well as tactical populations. His primary interests include long-term athlete monitoring, injury reduction strategies in sport, acute/chronic biochemical responses to training and the integration of sport technology in the athlete development process.
