Hammer Strength, in partnership with the CSCCa, developed the Hammer Strength All American Athlete Award in 2013 to recognize the most outstanding college athletes who exemplify the best of what it takes, on and off the field, to become an elite athlete. The strength and conditioning coaching staff at each institution is encouraged to collaborate in selecting one male and one female athlete to receive this award and to be considered for the Annual All American Athlete of the Year Award.
Athletes to be considered for this award are characterized by intensity, consistency of purpose, achievement, and teamwork. These athletes are superior performers on the field/court who exemplify the best of what it takes to become fierce competitors. They exhibit tremendous work ethic and leadership skills. They motivate their teammates to excel and perform at their best. Leaders by example, these student athletes have strong academic standing and exhibit good sportsmanship. They are dedicated to their sport—tireless workers in pursuit of excellence—translating everything they accomplish, be it in the strength and conditioning arena or the classroom, to performance on the field/court.
Nominate an athlete through our website or print the Nomination Form and provide a 500-word description of the student athlete's qualities and achievements, including why you feel this athlete stands out from the crowd in terms of work ethic, leadership, consistency, and academic experience.

CSCCa member coaches in good standing can submit the nomination. This includes being a current member of the association and up-to-date on annual membership dues.
Nominations are due by 11:59 p.m. (MDT) Tuesday, April 12, 2016.
The male and female Hammer Strength All American Athlete of the Year will be awarded at the CSCCa Annual National Conference at the Master Strength and Conditioning Coaches Dinner and Ceremony, which will be held on Thursday evening. All other awards will be mailed in May after the conference.
Nominations are due by 11:59 p.m. (MDT) on Monday, April 4, 2016. By entering, all participants agree to be bound by the official rules. Prize winner will be selected in late April from among eligible entries received. Winners will be notified by mail or phone. Prizes will be delivered to verified winners. The decision of the judge(s) is final. Employees and/or family members of Brunswick Corp., Life Fitness, Hammer Strength, and CSCCa, (collectively as "Sponsor"), are not eligible to win.
All applicable taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility of the winners. All prizes claimed will be awarded. If any prize goes unclaimed, there will be a random drawing to award such prize to an alternate winner. Prizes are non-transferable, and no substitutions or cash redemptions will be made. Sponsor is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate information. Each winner will be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and a liability/publicity release within 10 days of notification or prize will be forfeited. By accepting the prize, each winner agrees to release Sponsor, its partners, affiliates, officers, employees, representative and agents, including, without limitation, its advertising and promotion agencies, from any and all liability, loss, damage, or injuries or any kind sustained in connection with their participation in the contest, promotion or from their acceptance, use, misuse of any prize. Each winner further acknowledges that said parties have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize, including, but not limited to, its quality or fitness for a particular purpose. By accepting a prize, winners agree to the use of their names for promotional purposes without additional compensation except where prohibited by law. Entries and all materials submitted therewith become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. If any prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner.
