Gardner-Webb University’s Department of Athletics is currently accepting applications for a Graduate Intern Assistant position in its Sports Performance program for the 2021-22 and 2022-23 academic years.

Under the supervision of the Director of Sports Performance, the successful candidate will develop and implement training programs for several sports. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to weight room supervision; assisting the Director of Sports Performance with football; facility and equipment maintenance; data collection and record keeping; assisting in upkeep of fueling station; and other duties as assigned.

Compensation: The Graduate Assistant position is a two-year commitment beginning with the 2021-22 academic year and includes a bi-weekly stipend.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or a related field and acceptance into Gardner-Webb University’s Sport Education or Strength and Conditioning graduate program. SCCC or CSCS certification. First Aid/CPR/AED certification. Internship experience with a collegiate or professional sports program. Applicants must submit to a criminal background check, subject to review and approval by Gardner-Webb University.
