Lincoln Memorial University is seeking one highly motivated individual to fill the position of graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach, starting in the Fall of 2021 semester. Primary duties include but are not limited to: programing and implementation of strength and conditioning programs for assigned teams, daily maintenance of facilities, communication with sport coaches and athletic training staff, and other duties assigned by the head strength and conditioning coach.
Compensation: Full graduate tuition waiver. On campus housing provided. A limited meal plan to the campus dining options (Chick-fil-A and cafeteria). Graduate assistant coaches at LMU have the opportunity to complete a CSCCa mentorship program, earning the opportunity to sit for the SCCC certification. In addition, LMU graduate assistants receive an expenses paid trip to the CSCCa annual national conference during their two semesters at LMU.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree. CPR, AED and First Aid certified.
Preferred Qualifications: Currently certified through the Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association (SCCC) or National Strength and Conditional Association (CSCS). Previous experience working in collegiate strength and conditioning. Previous experience with wrestling preferred.
