Program Objective
The University of Wyoming Sports Performance department is committed to aiding in the development of prospective Sports Performance Coaches. The program is designed to develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a well-rounded, successful Strength and Conditioning Coach. Interns must complete a curriculum involving: exercise progression, exercise demonstration, program writing, movement pattern recognition, and coaching philosophy. The internship will offer the opportunity to work directly with Division I Student-Athletes. Learning opportunities are provided by certified full time Sports Performance Coaches and will have access to the latest readiness and performance tracking technologies.

-Assist Sports Performance Staff in all daily set up and maintenance
-Aid in the implementation of: Warm-Ups, Strength, Speed, Conditioning, and Recovery sessions
-Complete all assigned continuing education
-Specific duties will be assigned based on education and experience level

-Desire to pursue a career in Sports Performance
-Enthusiasm to learn and develop a Coaching Philosophy
-Outgoing and professional behavior
-Interest in taking the CSCCa or CSCS certification exams
-Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
-Ability to receive credit towards a college degree (preferred)
-Must pass a background check
