Fairfield University is currently seeking qualified volunteer internship candidates for the 2023 Spring
Internship will run from January 9th
-May 12th. Our start date is flexible up until January 23rd .
Interns will gain hands on experience with the strength staff at Fairfield University. Also, interns will partake in internship curriculum and professional education that will cover topics such as: warm-up, cool-downs, programming, resume & cover letters, and mock interviews. Upon completion of internship interns will have ability to gain future recommendations and ability to receive college credit for internship requirements

The daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Assisting with the supervision and execution of the strength and conditioning programs for our
20 Division 1 programs as well as assisting with training our club men’s and women’s rugby
- Attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities
- Preparation and maintenance of nutrition station
- Data input and upkeep
- Ability to work with technology: Tendo Units, Dashr, and Whoop Bands
- Participation in internship curriculum and professional development throughout the semester
- Any other tasks assigned by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach
Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, enthusiasm and effective communication skills
- Desire to become a strength and conditioning coach
Preferred Qualifications:
- Pursuing or have attained a bachelor’s or master’s degree in exercise science, kinesiology, exercise physiology or related field
- Pursuing or have attained relevant certifications: SCCC, CSCS, USAW, PES, etc.
