The Ohio State University Strength & Conditioning department is hiring candidates for our unpaid summer internship program. Candidates should have an unwavering passion for pursuing a career in collegiate strength and conditioning, a strong work ethic and desire to learn.
Our interns are mentored by CSCCa Master Strength & Conditioning Coaches and Approved Mentors along with hands-on coaching with our student-athletes from a wide variety of our 36 varsity sports. We provide a continuing education curriculum that includes implementing effective coaching strategies, program design, professional networking, and job interview preparation. Our interns will also learn how to implement a broad range of industry-leading sport science technologies to monitor and enhance athlete health and performance. Most importantly, our interns will be prepared to become elite-level strength coaches in their next coaching role.
Qualifications:
Preferred candidates will have their CSCS certification and previous strength and conditioning coaching experience.
Minimal qualifications: candidates are at least a junior in college and are preparing to take the SCCC or CSCS exam within the next 12 months. We provide the option to continue into the Fall season internship program contingent on your work performance in the summer.
