Oklahoma Christian University (OC) Athletics Department is currently accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant position in its Sports Performance program for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 academic years. OC is part of the Lone Star Conference and Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. With 15 total teams across 9 sports this position offers ample opportunities for coaching and programming experience.

Under the supervision of the Director of Sports Performance, the successful candidate will develop and implement general and sport-specific training programs for several sports. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: weight room supervision; development and implementation of speed and/or conditioning training; facility and equipment maintenance; data collection and record keeping; and other duties as assigned.

Compensation: The Graduate Assistant position is a two-year commitment beginning with the 2023-24 academic year and includes a tuition waiver for a graduate level degree program of the students choosing. Housing is also included should the graduate assistant need it as well as the potential for some campus meals. Graduate assistants must maintain at least 6 hours of graduate-level credit per semester to be eligible.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or a related field and acceptance into Oklahoma Christian University’s graduate program. SCCC or CSCS certification. First Aid/CPR/AED certification. Internship experience with a collegiate or professional sports program.
