RESPONSIBILITIES: The Fitness Program Manager and Strength & Conditioning Coach is responsible for establishing and maintaining fitness programming to support the physical wellbeing of both students and adults.

As the Fitness Program Manager, they will oversee the daily schedule, finalize staff placement, and establish the menu of options that are offered to the general population of students and adults that regularly use the Fitness Center on campus.

As the Strength Coach, they will develop the strength and conditioning program for all sports (in and out of season). They will devise training programs, supervise training sessions, evaluate athletes, maintain records, and teach strength & conditioning classes as needed.

Embedded within the execution of both roles is the need to have a positive working relationship with the health center and the athletic training staff to ensure activities are safe/appropriate for each individual based on their current level of health and fitness.

REQUIREMENTS: The successful applicant will have a strong working knowledge and teaching skills in analysis and strength training techniques, experience in strength and conditioning programming for high school populations, and strong motivational abilities. Candidates must possess the ability to manage fitness center operations, including budget development and management, equipment management, safety, and staff scheduling, as well as highly developed people leader skills with the ability to hire, train, provide coaching and feedback. This position requires a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology or a related field and current certification by an independently accredited agency, such as the CSCCa (SCCC) or NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification, First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications.
