Louisville Olympic Sports Performance Fellowship
University of Louisville Olympic Sports Performance is offering a unique opportunity
for ambitious young professionals aspiring to pursue a career in sports performance.
Through a partnership with Output Sports, we are seeking qualified candidates for paid
sports performance fellowships. Sports Performance Fellows will be a branch of our
mentorship program intended to provide an in-depth and immersive experience in
collegiate sports performance.
Fellows will be responsible with assisting full-time staff with performance program
design and implementation with 3-4 varsity Olympic sports at University of Louisville. This
includes designing and coaching strength and conditioning programs, assisting with sports
science application, communicating and collaborating with other health and performance
staff, and opportunities to participate in sport practice and competition preparation where
possible. The fellowship will be a two-semester appointment, including the Fall 2025
(August-December) and Spring 2026 (January-May) semesters.
Fellows will develop into the resident experts on the use of Output Sports
technology. This includes the management of hardware, data collection, data analysis,
reporting, and implementation of the technology. Fellows will also be responsible for
delivering a conference abstract utilizing the technology by the end of the term alongside
academic faculty and full-time staff. Fellows will be compensated $5,000 in financial aid
for both the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 semesters, totaling $10,000 for the duration of the
appointment.
To be considered for a fellowship position, applicants must be accepted or currently
in the application process for a University of Louisville academic program and must
maintain enrollment throughout the term of the position. Selection of fellows will be based
on prior experience in strength and conditioning and coaching, aspiration to pursue a
career in sports performance, and relevant certifications. The successful candidate will
also possess strong written and verbal communication skills as well as proficiency in the
application of sports science technology and management.
