Bryant University is accepting applications for a Sports Performance Assistant - Paid Internship. This is a 10-month position with an expected start date of August 2025. Bryant University is an NCAA Division I program sponsoring 25 varsity sports and is a member of the America East Conference and the CAA (Football).
Responsibilities:
-Design and implement training programs for designated athletic teams.
-Assist in the implementation of training programs for other teams as assigned.
-Assist the Sports Performance staff with the day-to-day operations of the weight room.
-Communicate with head coaches about training programs for their teams. Advise coaches on pre-game and pre-practice protocols, as well as post-activity needs.
-Conduct performance testing of assigned athletes and maintain accurate, up-to-date records.
-Communicate with athletic training staff regarding athletes’ health and limitations.
-Adhere to NCAA rules and remain fully informed regarding institutional compliance with NCAA, America East, and CAA regulations.
-Perform other duties as assigned.
Compensation:
The compensation for this position includes a stipend, housing, and a meal plan. This position will also have the opportunity to learn under an MSCC and earn the 640 practicum/internship hours required for the SCCC exam, under a CSCCa-approved mentor.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or a related field
-CSCS or SCCC certification, and current CPR/AED/First Aid certification
-Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other Office programs)
