2023 CSCCa National Conference

Haley Roberts

TBD

I’m Haley Roberts, I’m currently an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Sam Houston State University where am responsible for women’s soccer, softball, women’s tennis, women’s basketball, and bowling. I also assist with football and facilitate our internship program. In the last year and a half of being a part of the Sam Houston Staff, I have been able to bridge athletics with the Kinesiology department to further the betterment of our student athletes by conducting my own research, implementing DEXA scans, and the use of GPS monitoring. In addition, I have also implemented readiness screenings within our department that provide us feedback on the physical and psychological status of our athletes prior to training. I’ve been able to do this while simultaneously finishing my thesis project and obtaining my Masters in Sport and Human Performance, teaching undergraduate classes on campus, and sitting for and receiving my SCCC in 2022. I came to Sam Houston State University from the University of North Alabama where I was a graduate assistant for a year and was responsible for women’s soccer, women’s indoor and beach volleyball as well as assisting with football and, again, managing the internship program. In my time at North Alabama, I was one of 40 women who took part in the 2021 NFL Women’s Careers Summit. Prior to the University of North Alabama, I was an intern and then a lead intern with UNLV football under two different staffs for a year and a half. UNLV is also where I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and my CSCS through NSCA.
