Coaching: Dr. Dan Baker is an ASCA Master Coach of Strength and Conditioning with more than 20-yrs experience working with elite professional athletes. He was a Strength and Conditioning Coach with the Brisbane Broncos NRL rugby league club for 19-yrs but has also worked at national league level in sports such rugby union, soccer and netball as well as working with elite level divers, powerlifters and other individual sport athletes. Educational: Dr. Dan Baker is an Adjunct Lecturer at Edith Cowan University in their Masters of Strength and Conditioning program and also lectured in the St. Marys’ University (London, UK) Masters of Strength & Conditioning program from 2016 until 2019. His main lectures are in the following topics: 1. How to use bands/chains for strength, power and size training. 2. Long-term athletic development — Starting resistance training with bodyweight exercises. 3. Maximal Aerobic Speed (MAS) — Developing high-intensity aerobic fitness for field sport and intermittent sport athletes. 4. Endurance training for pure endurance athletes and why it is different to aerobic training for field and intermittent sport athletes. 5. Using velocity measures during resistance training to improve programming and coaching He has over 40-international peer reviewed papers to his credit, in areas as diverse as elite strength & power training to periodisation models to aerobic training. He now works as a Strength and Conditioning Educator.
