Timothy Bilbrey

Assistant Athletics Director, Sports Performance

Tim Bilbrey is in his sixth year as the strength and conditioning coach at Cleveland State where he is responsible for implementing the strength and conditioning programs for more than 300 student-athletes in 18 intercollegiate sports.

He was the owner of 3D Sport Performance in Cuyahoga Falls for two years prior to coming to CSU where he assessed, designed and implemented training for clients, while providing training and education to collegiate and high school athletes.

Prior to that, Bilbrey served as the Strength and Conditioning Coach at Kent State from 2008-11, working with the football, baseball, field hockey, softball and women’s soccer teams, as well as the sprinters from the track and field squad.

Bilbrey was also an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Eastern Michigan from 2007-08, working with the head strength coach with all aspects of the program. Bilbrey was directly responsible for the design and implementation of year round strength and conditioning programs for men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, wrestling, softball, men’s and women’s golf, gymnastics and women’s tennis.

He also had a two-year stint as a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning coach at Kent State (2005-07) and served a three-month internship as a strength and conditioning coach with the Detroit Tigers.

Bilbrey earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Physiology from Kent State in 2003 and his Master’s of Arts in Exercise Physiology from Kent State in 2007.

He has been a member of the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association since 2007.

Bilbrey and his wife, Tess, reside in Medina with their son, Elijah.
