Kevin McCadam

Assistant Strength Coach

Kevin McCadam joined the University of Houston in January 2019 as the Assistant Director of Football Strength & Performance. In May 2021, he was promoted to Director of Olympic Sports Performance, along with his duties with the UH Football program, where he is entering his seventh season with the Cougars.
Before his time in Houston, McCadam spent six seasons at West Virginia University, where he worked with Mike Joseph and WVU Football. He began his coaching career as a Graduate Assistant at Virginia Tech, working for Mike Gentry with the Football and Basketball programs.
A former professional athlete, McCadam played five seasons in the NFL as a defensive back, primarily with the Atlanta Falcons, training under CSCCa Legend Al Miller, and later with the Carolina Panthers. He played college football at Virginia Tech, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master of Science in Health Education.
McCadam is dedicated to the development of the total athlete, Mind, Body & Spirit. Knowing that he is nothing without the leading and guidance of THE Master Strength Coach, his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ!
He and his wife of 20 years, Jess, have four children: Mia, Kole, Mason, and Kam.
