James DeVincenzi

Assistant

James DeVincenzi joined the Princeton Strength and Conditioning Staff in September of 2009. Since joining the staff, he has worked with all 37 Varsity Sports in some capacity and is now primarily responsible for men’s basketball, wrestling, baseball, and men’s and women’s water polo programs.

During his tenure at Princeton, Coach DeVincenzi has coached multiple All-Ivy and All-American selections, Professional Athletes, Olympic Qualifiers and an Olympic Gold Medalist and continues to dedicate his career to optimizing performance at every level of competition. Coach DeVincenzi oversees the Princeton Varsity Club Weight Room as well as the Internship Development Program for the Strength and Conditioning Staff.

Prior to coming to Princeton, Coach DeVincenzi completed his master’s degree in Exercise Science while serving as a graduate assistant at East Stroudsburg University. He received his B.A. in Health Sciences from Gettysburg College, where he played football. Coach DeVincenzi is a certified member of The Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association and currently resides in Robbinsville, N.J. with his wife Crystal and has two children, Madelyn and Brendan.
