A native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Charlie attended Oklahoma State University, and that is where he became involved in the strength and conditioning profession. He worked as a student assistant for four years and earned his degree in secondary education in 1994. Following his graduation, Master Strength and Conditioning Coach Rob Glass promoted Charlie to assistant.

Charlie has had a very successful career while coaching at many great institutions: Oklahoma State University, the University of Southern Mississippi, the University of Kansas, Southeastern Louisiana University, and now the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Coach Dudley would like to thank and recognize the head strength coaches for which he has had the opportunity to work for, Rob Glass, Roberto Parker, Dan Austin, and Chris Dawson. Additionally, he would like to thank all of the assistant strength coaches, graduate assistants, and student assistants he has had the good fortune to work with. Finally, he would like to thank his wife, Jessica, and son Tyson, for their unending love and support, without which his career would not be possible.
