Dave Plettl

Dave Plettl has been a strength coach since 1987 at the universities of Florida State, Texas and Colorado. In 2005 he received his Master Certification by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA), which, at the time, had only been given to 50 coaches around the world. He has worked for 4 Masters strength coaches as well, Jeff Madden, Doc Kreis, Dave Vanhalanger, and Jon Jost. Dave also holds a Master of Sports Sciences certification from the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) and has been appointed to the Certification Board of Directors for the National Association of Speed and Explosion (NASE). Over the last decade, Dave has also been a professor for the Exercise Science Department at FSU and a consultant for the Sports Sciences degree curriculum. During his coaching career, he has worked with National Championship Teams in Football, Skiing, and Track and Field. He also has trained athletes from Heisman Trophy winners to Olympian Medalists. Other ventures include Co-Founding and serving as President of Titus Sports Academy, a company started in 2001 that trains thousands of athletes in all sports, levels and ages. During this time, Dave developed performance-based programs and exercise testing protocols for the state of Florida in areas of physical education, law enforcement, and corporate fitness. Dave also developed the philosophy, programming and progression for Puissance Training Institute, a company that trains top young opera singers in the nation. As an athlete he was Colorado State Champion, Regional Champion and National Competitor as a bodybuilder and Olympic Weightlifter. Dave is married to the former Christa Miller and they are the proud parents of three children, Lydia, Rebecca and Samuel.
