Brad Bichey was born and raised in Ambridge, PA, a suburb of Pittsburgh. Bichey graduated in the class of 2004 from Ambridge Area High School. Bichey went on to attend West Liberty State College & graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Exercise Physiology in 2008. Bichey then attended The Pennsylvania State University for graduate school & graduated with a Master's of Education in Health Education in 2011.
Bichey has been working in strength & conditioning in some capacity since 2008, including stops at Florida, Penn State, Robert Morris, Ohio State, Cincinnati Bengals, Arkansas and Toledo. Bichey is grateful for all of the lessons he learned over the years from his great mentors, such as Master Strength Coaches; Mickey Marotti, Rick Court, Kenny Parker, Matt Balis, John Thomas, Jeremy Scott and Ben Herbert.
For the past 9 seasons Bichey has been the Director of Football Strength & Conditioning at The University of Toledo. Over this time Toledo has compiled a record of 72-40 and have had 11 players drafted to the NFL, with a first round pick in Quinyon Mitchell (22nd Overall; Eagles) in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Bichey married his beautiful, loving and supportive wife Shayna on May 14, 2016 and they have been blessed with 3 amazing children; Jaxson, Payeton, & Grayson.
