Kenny Goodrich

Associate Director of Athletic Performance

Kenny Goodrich is the Associate Director of Strength and Conditioning / Olympic Sports. Goodrich rejoined the Michigan State Strength and Conditioning Staff in August of 2019.

Before returning to Michigan State, Goodrich spent 10 years at Bowling Green State University (2009-2019), including two years as an Assistant and four years as the Associate Director before being named the Director of Strength and Conditioning in February of 2016.

During Goodrich’s time at BGSU, he primarily oversaw the training of the ice hockey, volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball and gymnastics programs. He also oversaw baseball, softball, men’s and women's golf and assisted with football during different time periods.

Prior to his time at Bowling Green, Goodrich was a graduate assistant strength coach at Michigan State University, his alma mater, from 2007-09 after serving as a volunteer assistant from 2005-07.

Goodrich, a native of Decatur, MI, earned his Bachelor's degree from Michigan State in Kinesiology, and also obtained his Masters degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Sports Administration from MSU in 2009. He is certified under the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association.

Goodrich and his wife, Amy, reside in Okemos, Mich., with their children, Cami, Wesley, and Kennedy.
