Bryce Karasiak

The 2023-24 academic year marks the second year of Bryce Karasiak’s second stint as strength and conditioning coach at the University of South Florida and his sixth overall. A certified Master Strength & Conditioning Coach (CSCCA), Karasiak returned to the women’s basketball program prior to the 2022-23 season after spending the previous two years as territory manager for the southeast region of Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana for Dynamic Fitness & Strength (DFS).

Karasiak joined South Florida in June of 2016 following positions at Wayne State, Notre Dame and DePaul.

Karasiak originally came to South Florida after five years as the assistant strength coach at Wayne State University in Detroit, Mich. While with the Warriors, he became the department’s first basketball-specific strength and conditioning coach and oversaw the training for men’s basketball during two Sweet 16 appearances and a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship.

In 2013, Karasiak left Wayne State for a brief period and was the assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Notre Dame. He worked with the men's and women's lacrosse teams and assisted with men's basketball and ice hockey.

Karasiak was the director of strength and conditioning at DePaul University from 2008-10 and managed the training of over 400 student-athletes in 16 sports within the DePaul Athletic Department. He worked primarily with men’s and women’s basketball and also trained men’s and women’s soccer, volleyball, softball, and track and field.

Karasiak began his career at Minnesota before taking the head strength and conditioning coach position at Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Minn. He developed and maintained the strength and conditioning program for 16 varsity programs and implemented nutritional guidelines. In addition to working at Augsburg, he also was the Director of Sports Performance at Velocity Hockey Performance where he worked with high school, collegiate and professional hockey athletes to improve their on-ice performance.

Karasiak earned his Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from Indiana University in 2002 and completed his master's degree at the University of Minnesota in Sport and Exercise Science in 2007. He is Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA) and holds a Titlest Performance Institute (TPI) Level 1 certification. In 2023, he earned "Master Strength Coach" distinction from the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA).
